Two local martial artists from Millennium Martial Arts have been recognized by Chuck Norris’ United Fighting Arts Federation (UFAF).

Michelle Turner has been nominated for the “Most Inspirational” award for her work with a special needs student who also trains at Millennium. Howard Munding, a fifth-degree black belt, has been nominated for the “Instructor of the Year” award for his work with students ranging in age from 4 to 73. The school itself was also one of 14 schools nominated for “School of the Year.”

These nominations are a great accomplishment since they come from the 2,500 members and the more than 700 black belts worldwide of the United Fighting Arts Federation, which was founded by Chuck Norris.

The winners will be announced at the 2014 International Training Conference and World Championships July 19 in Las Vegas.
